Donald Trump Gives His Take On Tom Brady’s Move From Patriots to Tampa Bay

Quarterback Tom Brady left the New England Patriots this offseason and signed a contract with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. His departure triggered an avalanche of reactions, and US President Donald Trump talked about Brady and his situation with the Patriots.

Brady is a Bucs quarterback now, and we have seen some photos of him wearing his new uniform. We also know that President Trump is a fan of Brady. He is also friends with the Glazers, the Buccaneers ownership family, who have made donations to Trump’s campaign.

The President talked to Clay Travis on Fox Sports Radio’s Outkick The Coverage and shared his thoughts on TB12 and the Pats.

“Well I think he’s gonna do a great job, you know, he’s been a winner,” Trump said. “He knows how to win. That’s a big thing, and he’s just been a great quarterback with a great coach (in Bill Belichick). That’s a great combination – and a great owner in Bob Kraft, frankly. He probably wanted a change.”

Donald Trump has a theory about Brady’s breakup with the Patriots

Brady’s decision to sign with the Buccaneers shocked a lot of people. Well, it looks like Brady had a few good reasons to join this particular team. Wonder why? President Trump has a few ideas.

“He wanted a change, and I think he had plenty of teams to go to, and he picked one with – from what I understand – a very good offensive line and very good receivers,” Trump said. “Looked at that closely. He had other choices where they had players. His biggest thing is that he wants to win, and from what I know, and I know the ownership of the team (the Buccaneers), they’ll do whatever they have to because they are fantastic people – the owners of the team that Tom is on now.”

Brady made a name for himself during his time with the Patriots. He won six Super Bowl titles and snatched four Super Bowl MVP honors. Brady was successful in every aspect of the word, and Patriots fans already miss him.

In 2020, Brady will join forces with former Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski, Sean McCoy, Mike Evans and Chris Godwin. TB12 will try to build another dynasty in Tampa, and being surrounded by great players will be of great help for him. Brady and Gronk played really well during their time in New England. We can easily see the same fire in Tampa.
