Five Reasons Lakers Will Dominate Trail Blazers in the Playoffs

The Los Angeles Lakers have a really good chance to win the title this season and they play the Portland Trail Blazers in the first round of the playoffs. The team is on a good way to destroy their rivals and this is just the beginning.

LeBron James took his team to the playoffs, and things look really well for the team. Last season, the Lakers lost the battle too soon. LeBron got injured and had to stay away from the game for quite some time. This season, his Lakers clinched the top seed in the West.

The Lakers have a really good game in the playoffs, and we have a few good reasons to consider them winners.

Lakers to defeat Portland Trail Blazers in the playoffs

Playoff Blazers are excellent and they may give LeBron a headache. But, the Lakers are well prepared for this challenge.

  1. Rajon Rondo

LeBron plays his ultimate basketball, but he’d really use some help from rajon Rondo. The Lakers need Rondo when LeBron is on the bench. The veteran fractured his thumb on July 12 and had to miss some time. Rondo may not be playing his Boston Celtics basketball, but he is definitely a key player for the Lakers. Playoff Rondo exists, and the Lakers like him. Rondo records 14.0 points, 6.1 rebounds and 9.3 assists per playoff game.

2. Blazers D

The Blazers pushed their offense to the top. They finished the regular season ranking third in offensive rating and sixth in points per game. However, their defense is awful. LA had some offensive struggles, but this problem is gone now.

LeBron and his team won the season series against Portland 2-1.

3. The King

The Blazers can’t slow down LeBron. Trevor Ariza had a tiny impact on LeBron’s game, but he is out at the moment. Ariza decided to opt out of the season. LeBron is really great in the playoffs, and he won’t give up on his title.

4. Experience

Lakers players have great playoff experience with other teams. LeBron, Rondo, Quinn Cook, JaVale McGee, Danny Green and J.R. Smith had won at least one title.

Dwight Howard played in the 2009 NBA Finals.

Active Blazers players have never been to the Finals.

5. Best duo in the NBA

Damian Lillard and McCollum make a good duo, but LeBron and Davis make the best duo in the NBA. Davis is averaging 9.3 rebounds, 1.5 steals and 2.3 blocks per game, and he has a chance to win the Defensive Player of the Year award. He is the right partner for LeBron and these two can do wonders.
