Former NYPD Commissioner Takes Shot at LeBron James About His Comments on Cops

LeBron James has had a few things to say about cops in the past. The Lakers were finally getting back on track in the playoffs before the season came screeching to a halt. This happened last night, when players around the league decided to sit out their games.

Now, a former NYPD Commissioner has taken a pretty big shot at LeBron James for his comments. Does this come as a surprise? It really shouldn’t. People always want their time in the spotlight.

Here is what he had to say:

“Quite frankly, it’s just f—– up in our community,” James said when he was asked about James Blake, the 29-year-old Wisconsin dad that was shot 7 times by police in front of his kids.

“We are scared as Black people in America. Black men, Black women, Black kids — we are terrified.”

“People have no idea how that cop that day left the house,” James said Monday.

“We don’t know if he woke up on the good side of the bed. You don’t know if he woke up on the wrong side of the bed. We don’t know if he had an argument at home with his significant other. You don’t know if one of his kids said something crazy to him and he left the house steaming.

“Or maybe he just left the house saying that today is going to be the end for one of these Black people. That’s what it feels like.”

While Kerik might not agree with what LeBron had to say, he very much has a point. There is very clearly a problem of police brutality against black people in the United States.

James and the rest of his peers have made it clear that they will be staying on top of this and they will not back down until there is change. Whatever it is they are looking for, let us hope that they are able to come to a solution pretty quickly.
