Frank Vogel Provides Status Updates on Rajon Rondo and Anthony Davis

The Los Angeles Lakers won three games in the first series against the Portland Trail Blazers. The team opened the playoff run with a loss, but this loss helped them strengthen the offense and win three straight games. LeBron James and his teammates are ready for the big game. There are few minor concerns, but LA has the situation under control. Will Rajon Rondo and Anthony Davis suit up for Game 5? Lakers head coach Frank Vogel provided status updates on both superstars.

Dave McMenamin reported that Davis should be good for Wednesday’s game. The Lakers have listed him as probable. When it comes to Rondo, he is doubtfull as he still tryins to handle his back spasms. These spasms are in no way related to his thumb fracture. The Lakers would could use an extra pair of hands, but they are also trying to protect players.

Frank Vogel has a backup plan following the status updates

Rondo has yet to suit up for the Lakers since they came to Orlando. He fractured his thumb in practice and missed the Lakers seeding games. The veteran has missed Game 1 and 2 due to his fracture. Rondo missed Games 3 and 4 due to his back spasms.

Davis scored 18 points on 5-of-8 shooting and he helped the Lakers finish Game 4 with a 135-115 win. LA could finish the series and move onto the second round of the playoffs.

LA lost Game 1 to Portland but that’s the only failure the team had. Davis played a really big success in the Lakers’ wins. Having Rondo back would add a perfect boost to the Lakers bench.

LeBron could really use Rondo’s veteran experience. Rondo can take some of his load on his shoulders. But, Vogel wants him healthy and strong.

LA plays big this time and they won’t give up without a good fight. Players are prepared for every challenge inside the bubble. Playing against the top seed in the West won’t be easy, and LeBron makes things difficult for his opponents. He better keep doing that in the next few weeks.
