Julian Edelman Delivers Message To Patriots Fans

The New England Patriots won’t have any fans in attendance in September. The coronavirus pandemic affected pretty much every aspect in the NFL. Players had virtual meetings in the offseason and the preseason is canceled. As if that wasn’t enough, many players have decided to opt-out of the upcoming season over health concerns. Some teams won’t have players in the stands, and others will have limited groups. The Patriots belong to the first group. Patriots veteran Julian Edelman delivers a message for his fans. He will definitely miss them in September.

The Patriots released an official statement to confirm the decision. Of course, this doesn’t mean that the team will play in empty stadiums throughout the entire season. Things may change at the end of the year.

“Following consultation with the Massachusetts Reopening Advisory Board, Gillette Stadium officials learned today that we will not be permitted to host fans at any events through at least the end of September. As a result, the Patriots home opener on September 13 and the game on September 27, as well as the next three Revolution home matches on August 20, 29, and September 2, will be played without fans in attendance. We will communicate directly with our respective ticket holders regarding refunds.”

Julian Edelman delivers a message for diehard Patriots fans

The Patriots released their plans for season ticket holders. It turns out that fans will be able to use their tickets next season. That’s more than good news for the fans. They may be forced to watch the games on TV, but the organization will let them attend games in 2021.

Edelman took to his Instagram account to share a photo of him, and his message was loud and clear. The 2018 Super Bowl MVP and his teammates support this decision. They care for the best of everyone and they need to protect themselves.

“Pats Nation, with the news yesterday, I can see why some of you are disappointed and frustrated. Without a doubt it’s going to be different this September without every single one of you cheering us on. But don’t you worry… we’ll be right here when you get back.”

The Patriots will enter a challenging season and they won’t have any fans in attendance. Players are used to play surrounded by crowds. Things will change in 2020.
