Julian Edelman Talked About the Difference With Cam Newton Running the Patriots’ Offense

New England Patriots wideout Julian Edelman was catching passes from quarterback Tom Brady and he will be catching passes from Cam Newton in 2020. Playing with another quarterback may be hard for Edelman. He is not used to this, but it looks like Edelman is ready for his next chapter.

The Patriots wideout is looking forward to the next season. Newton is the best option for the Patriots at the moment. Well, head coach Bill Belichick has yet to make a decision on his starting quarterback. Newton will compete with Jarrett Stidham and Brian Hoyer. Although some reports suggest that Newton will go under center, analysts believe that Belichick will use Stidham as QB1. Let’s not forget that he knows Josh McDaniels’ offense. That’s his ultimate advantage.

What does Edelman think of Newton? Do you know that Newton calls Edelman “Highway 11”?

“I think it’s an open forum with him,” Edelman told WEEI’s “The Greg Hill Show” on Friday. “‘Hey, what do you see here? What do you see there?’

“I have played a lot of football in this league too, and he’s played a lot of football. It’s more of a team — ‘What do you see here? I think here is this, that.’ It’s pretty cool, I guess.”

Julian Edelman likes Cam Newton

Newton is the Patriots’ Superman and Edelman is Batman. According to Edelman, Newton makes a positive impact on the field.

“He just has a good energy about him,” said he wideout. “He’s very energetic and has a lot of energy to him. He makes it fun. He’s always in a pretty good mood from the time that he’s been here. I can’t speak on any other place or this that, but from what I have seen and what I have learned, he seems like a guy who loves football, has an energy about him and enjoys it. He enjoys football.”

The Patriots are entering a challenging season and the Miami Dolphins are the first team on their list. It will be a big season as everyone will try to show that they can win without TB12.
