Things don’t look too good for the Portland Trail Blazers. They lost Game 4 to the Los Angeles Lakers and it was a terrible loss for the team. That’s not all. A key contributor won’t see action in the Blazers vs Lakers game.

Portland lost Damian Lillard to a knee injury. In the second half of the game, Lillard suffered an injury while going to the basket. The All-Star guard was recovering from a dislocated finger on his non-shooting hand. Lillard is a tough guy but this time he had to take a break. The MVP of the bubble won’t take part in the game against LA. Portland announced that he won’t play for Game 5 due to a right knee sprain.

This is a terrible turn for the Blazers. Well, this isn’t a too bad injury for Lillard. Whether or not he will see action this season depends on the Blazers’ chances to stave off elimination on Wednesday.

If this injury puts an end to Lillard’s season, the NBA has to applaud him for everything he has done on the field. Lillard has had an excellent game and everyone noticed it. The basketball community praised Lillard for his impeccable game. Portland had a big chance to win more games but they couldn’t handle LeBron James, Anthony Davis and the rest of the Lakers team.

Lillard averaged a career-high 30.0 points and 0.8 assists per game. His great game inside the Orlando bubble allowed the Blazers to take the final playoff spot in the West.

The Blazers won’t see Lillard in Game 5 against the Lakers. They will need CJ McCollum and Gary Trent Jr. at their finest. This is a big advantage for the Lakers and they better use it. The Lakers offense improved a lot in the past few games. NBA fans had high expectations from the Lakers team and their expectations turn into a real thing.

How will the Lakers finish the playoff series? With a win, of course. LeBron promised to win a title with the Lakers and he is ready to keep his promise.
