Kendrick Perkins Getting Destroyed For Comment About LeBron James-Michael Jordan Debate

The Los Angeles Lakers played their great basketball in Game 2 against the Portland Trail Blazers. It was a big game and the Lakers had an incredible win. Doubters didn’t like the fact that LeBron is winning games at 35 and sparkled the GOAT debate revolving around him and Michael Jordan.

The Lakers were a dominant force against Portland and started to look like  the championship-winning team everyone supported.

NBA playoffs can’t go without the GOAT debate and fans talked about the success LeBron had. Of course, someone had to jump in and compare him to the Chicago Bulls legend.

It looks like the debate won’t face away. Analysts and players will keep adding fuel even after LeBron’s retirement. Well, one thing stands for sure. This debate makes the best headlines. Fans like to read great headlines.

After the big win, former NBA player Kendrick Perkins talked about LeBron and MJ. According to him, Jordan wasn’t competing for rings at 35.

“LeBron James is 35! Michael Jordan weren’t competing for a championship at 35!” Perkins said.

Did he make a mistake here?

In the Bulls final playoff run in 1998, MJ turned 35 in February of that year. The NBA Finals against the Utah Jazz took place in June that year.

So, yes, Perkins made a mistake. His comments are incorrect. But, this doesn’t change the fact that LeBron is an incredible player who tries to win his fourth ring.

LeBron and Jordan will keep the debate alive

King James is on a good way to win his championship and probably the NBA MVP award. The Lakers had some struggles with inconsistency in Game 1, but they played a lot better on Thursday. That’s the only thing that matters at the moment. Lakers head coach Frank Vogel is confident about his players, and he also likes the way they develop the game.

Portland plays really well in the playoffs. Anthony Davis is well aware of their improvement. But, he makes the best duo with LeBron and thanks to their great relationship, the Lakers will win more games, and hopefully, they will win the championship.
