Kyle Kuzma Gives Ridiculously Confident Statement on Potential Matchup vs Trail Blazers

Los Angeles Lakers forward Kyle Kuzma is excited for his first playoff appearance, no matter which team they’ll go against. Kuzma recently gave a very confident statement on the potential rival.

Lakers will most likely face Portland Trail Blazers who defeated the Dallas Mavericks on Tuesday night. Superstar Damian Lillard had a monster 61-point performance in the game.

Portland goes after either the No. 8 or No. 9 seed in the Western Conference, which would secure place in the play-in tournament to make the postseason.

The Blazers made the Western Conference Finals last season and have added forward Carmelo Anthony to the mix this year.

While they would certainly be a tough test for the Lakers, the Lakers are well-equipped to beat them with the likes of superstars LeBron James and Anthony Davis.

And Kyle Kuzma definitely doesn’t seem to be bothered. He said:

“No, it’s not a worse-case scenario. Any time you can get tested early in the playoffs helps you out in the later rounds… We’re war ready. We’re ready to play anybody”

Kuzma himself had an iconic bubble performance on Monday, drilling a 3-point game-winner to beat the Denver Nuggets.

Kuzma Also Had A Confident Statement After Win Against Nuggets

The 25-year-old who is averaging 12.8 points, 4.5 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game this season will get his first taste of playoff basketball.

This wasn’t Kuzma’s first overly confident statement. After the win against Nuggets on Monday, he even said he could score over Jesus Christ himself.

“I think Jesus could be in front of me and I’d probably still shoot,” Kuzma said in the post-game interview. “It doesn’t really matter to me. I got an open look. It’s a play we kind of ran in practice a few times prior to the restart, and Coach had faith in me and called my number and it paid off.”
