Lakers’ Anthony Davis Reveals How LeBron James Helped Him Regroup vs Blazers

The Los Angeles Lakers did much better vs the Portland Trail Blazers Thursday night. It seems like they are very much back on track now. This win comes after a pretty big let down when the were shocked and upset by the Trail Blazers in game one.

If the Lakers want to continue their winning ways, one Anthony Davis will need to continue his high level play. He had a great game last night and was one of the main reasons they were able to get off to a hot start.

Davis recently talked about how LeBron James, his teammate, was able to get him back on track. He had some motivational words for Davis, who was apparently very let down after the first game vs the Trail Blazers. Take a look at what he had to say.

“I was really down on myself after Game 1,” Davis said. “I didn’t feel like I performed at the level I needed to. He [LeBron] let me have my moment.”

“He talked to me and said I was fine,” Davis continued. “As a guy who won multiple championships, and been in these situations before, he knows what to expect. He knows what to expect from his teammates and he was just there for me to encourage me and keep me level-headed, because it was just one game.”

LeBron has always had his teammates’ backs in one way or another. He is obviously a pretty good motivator, especially when it comes to the playoffs.

“I kinda just been leaning on him this entire season, just trying to figure out the tricks and trades of playing with a guy like him. The on-court chemistry has clicked from day one,” Davis continued. “On-court, I’ve never played with a guy of this caliber.”

Davis and the Lakers look to be back on track after the beating they gave the Blazers. Hopefully they can keep this up. It would be very cool to see them make it to the Finals for the first time in years.
