Lakers’ Anthony Davis Sends Serious Threat to NBA Owners

Anthony Davis has come out and sent a very serious threat to NBA owners recently. The Los Angeles Lakers are enjoying their round 1 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers. The series ended up being pretty easy after the first game in which the Lakers lost. Many thought that this was a big loss and could mean trouble. However, the Lakers quickly should that they were the better team.

But the victory does not really feel like the biggest story of the night. There is a lot of talk on what has been going on recently. There was yet another shooting by police of a black man. This has caused wide spread protests across the United States. Now, it has even reached the NBA bubble.

Players decided to boycott for 3 days until resuming play yesterday. Some wanted to cancel the season completely.

Lakers’ Anthony Davis Sends Serious Threat to NBA Owners

Anthony Davis has now come out with a pretty big threat to his bosses.

NBA owners and the players agreed to continue the season. But not without some changes. The players want to fix the social injustice problem and it starts with them. The owners agreed that they would help and outlined some issues that have been brought up.

Anthony Davis is not the only one with justice on his mind. His teammate LeBron James has also talked about this in the past.

“First of all, I want to continue to shed light on justice for Breonna Taylor and to her family and everything that’s going on with that situation,” James said to reporters. “…We want the cops arrested who committed that crime.”

“A lot of people kind of use this analogy, talking about Black Lives Matter as a movement. It’s not a movement,” James continued. “When you’re Black, it’s not a movement. It’s a lifestyle. We sit here and say it’s a movement, and, OK, how long is this movement going to last? ‘Don’t stop the movement.’ No, this is a walk of life. When you wake up and you’re Black, that is what it is. It shouldn’t be a movement. It should be a lifestyle. This is who we are…”
