Lakers’ Kyle Kuzma Releases Statement Amid Police Reform

Los Angeles Lakers young star Kyle Kuzma talked about the police reform in the country, and many fans will agree with him on this one. According to Kuzma, the police should be held accountable if they break the law. Police officers need better training, and Kuzma pointed to this topic.

Kuzma is right about the training part. Police officers need to make a change, and Kuzma approves this.

“While we’re demanding change, right now in CA Dems are REFUSING to pass modest police reform that would keep abusive officers out of the state and end qualified immunity!” Kuzma tweeted Monday morning. “@AssemblyDems are you going to make real change or just pretend like you hear us?!? #PassSB731.”

Kyle Kuzma shares his thoughts on the impact of police reform on this country

Kuzma made a few great points, encouraging others to follow the same steps. This country needs a change.

“It basically prohibits police from having the ability from breaking the law and not getting into trouble,” Kuzma said during his video conference with media members. “Obviously, it’s hard to get passed right now, but we’re just trying to push it through and make real change. That’s one thing just to continue being an activist on, commenting on racism, but we got to get these bills passed. That’s the most important thing.”

The Lakers delivered a message after Jacob Blake’s shooting. Police officers shot him in the back, leaving him paralyzed from the waist down.

“They kind of stand for their own, a lot,” Kuzma said. “But the talks I’ve had with good policemen … it’s about the training aspect. That’s the biggest thing. They only have budgets from that standpoint to have the proper training and knowledge. You have cops that work in, let’s say a cop works in Los Angeles, works in Compton, but lives in Santa Clarita. He doesn’t know the area. He doesn’t know the people or the background.”

Kuzma and the Lakers made a move, and they won’t give up now. NBA players were getting ready to boycott the playoffs. They reached an agreement with execs, and have already had the first games.

Blake’s tragedy has caused mass protests in the country, and people are seeking justice. The same applies to Breonna Taylor’s family. George Floyd’s family is also trying to get justice for the innocent man.
