Lakers Veteran Sends Serious Warning to NBA About Dwight Howard

Dwight Howard was easily one of the five best players in the NBA so what is expected of him in Los Angeles Lakers is very much different.

However, to his credit, he is slowly working on these changes and is now one of the Lakers best players off the bench. Even though the game was a total blowout. Howard went above and beyond with the passion that he brought onto the floor.

This passion, along with it being the playoffs, let to a heated argument between Howard and Carmelo Anthony. A certain Instagram user posted a photo of the exchange saying “Don’t [f*** with] with Melo.” However, Jared Dudley had his back and said “Don’t [f***. with] Dwight.”

Lakers Veteran Sends Serious Warning to NBA About Dwight Howard

While Carmelo definitely has room to talk, Dwight is one of the biggest players in the NBA and is quite intimidating. Even at the ripe age of 34, Howard is still bringing it every single game which has been noticed. This is by far the closest he has come to winning a championship and he does not want to pass it up.

Howard could easily be in the starting line up on several NBA teams. But he decided to bring his talents to LA. In fact, he was one of the best at shooting during the regular season. He was shooting an incredible 73% from the field. He is, however, averaging the lowest minutes per game than any other year. Therefore, he is far removed from his days as an all star.

This seems to be a very good spot for him late in his career. While he is only on contract for this year, many people think that the Lakers should try to keep him.

However, it is not a guarantee that he will want to stay. If everything works out and the Lakers win the title. He could leave to go somewhere he can make more money. However, if he would rather win than make money, Howard will be hard pressed to find a better squad that he has now.
