LeBron James Comments on Missing His Family While Playing in NBA Bubble

The Los Angeles Lakers are currently getting ready to compete in the Playoffs. Most believe that they are one of the favorites to win the title this year and that would be huge for Laker fans everywhere. But it seems like basketball is not the only thing that players are thinking about these days.

However, this is not nessecarily what is on the minds of some NBA players. The NBA season had to stop, or more correctly, pause fr around 5 months this year. This was due to the COVID 19 situation which has put a halt on sports all around the world.

The NBA decided to move toward a bubble season in Orlando, Florida. This has worked almost perfectly so far. However, there are a few problems with this set up. Most notably, the players are missing their family.

Lakers players Kentavious Caldwell-Pope went into detail on why he is missing his family and his teammate LeBron James completely agrees.

“You can’t replicate actual presence when you’re waking up and you’re in the living room or you’re in the kitchen or you’re outside playing with your kids or playing with your daughter, playing video games with your boys or working out with your boys. You can’t replicate that. I’m not there.

“Savannah James’ wife is a beast at what she does. That’s controlling the home and being that rock for our family. So I’m not worried about that. But you definitely, you have that miss factor when you miss your family, you miss your kids.”

James went into detail about how he misses his family.

“I miss the hell out of my family,” he said. “My wife, my kids, my mother. And so on and so on. So, it’s a huge challenge.”

“It’s given us the opportunity to, every single day, speak about, feel passionate about, whatever is going on in your personal life, whatever is going on in society and us trying to make a change,” James said. “It’s being dynamic and being heard.”

What do you think about what he had to say?
