LeBron James has given his opinion on Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden. There is a lot of bad going on in 2020 so far. The BLM movement is in full swing and many NBA players are using their platform for a message.
The Los Angeles are struggling mightily in the NBA bubble thus far. Even when we thought they might pick up their play in the Playoffs, they continue to play poorly. The were upset by Damian Lillard and the Portland Trail Blazers. LeBron has said often that he has other things on his mind.
He was recently asked about the presidential race and gave a candid response.
“What’s known don’t even need to be said,” LeBron said. “What’s known don’t even need to be said, man. Just leave it right at that.”
LeBron James Has Brutally Honest Response To Joe Biden Question
He continued, giving his reasoning and how he feels on the certain climate of politics.
“More Than A Vote is not only about trying to get people in our community to actually go out and vote; it is also giving them the knowledge and the power and the mechanism to know that they can create change,” James said. “That’s all we hear in the Black community all the time, saying we want change.”
“We’ve been lied to for so many years in the Black community, saying that we can’t do this and we can’t do that because we are so bottom-of-the-barrel,” James continued. “Change starts at the very top when it comes to leadership, but it also is going to continue beyond November going into December and also into 2021.”
James did go on to explain that this is not getting to him and that he is still focused on the playoffs.
“Cari and Jemele are the only ones that could get me on a phone call right now,” James said. “I got the playoffs on my TV and it’s nothing but basketball going on in here. I am locked in.”
It is nice to see the players standing up for what they believe in. However, we definitely hope that he is able to keep focused on the playoffs.
