LeBron James Is No Longer the Best Player on His Team For the First Time in His Career

LeBron James has been amazing throughout his career. The Los Angeles Lakers are back in action after a 4 and a half month break. So far, the NBA bubble has been doing its job, where most of the players and coaches testing negative for the Corona virus. But there have been a few interesting stories out of the bubble so far.

One has come out that said LeBron James is no longer the best player on his own team. This would easily be the first time this has ever happened in his career.

LeBron James has easily been the best player in the entire NBA for the majority of his career. This means that he has always been the best player on his own team, without question. He is also a future first ballot hall of famer. But times are changing, apparently.

This has finally changed for LeBron, as he is no longer the best player on his own team. This would be the first time in nearly 20 years.

LeBron James is being outscored by a teammate for the first time in his entire career. The teammate that is outshining him is Anthony Davis.

LeBron James Is No Longer the Best Player on His Team For the First Time in His Career

Anthony Davis has been absolutely awesome this year. He is leading the Lakers in scoring. Not to be outshined, James is still averaging a pretty good 25.4 points per game. But Davis is averaging 26.8.

In his new role, James is averaging more assists. However, Davis is beating him out in points, rebounds, steals, blocks, and shooting percentage. Obviously, they are both incredibly important to the Lakers as a team. But Davis is taking over it seems.

So far, LeBron has 9.7 win shares out of a total of 63 games. This is pretty good. However, when you look at Davis, he has 11.0 in less games. Win shares is a stat that shows you how much a player is the reason for an particular win. Due to injuries, he has not been able to play as much as LeBron. But he is still winning in each case.

This is some pretty interesting stuff to look at. However, there is still no question. LeBron James is still the king in our book.
