Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James didn’t forget the birthday of Nipsey Hussle and now he pays tribute to the late hip-hop artist. Nipsey Hussle would have celebrated his 35th birthday on Saturday. It was a sad day for his family, friends and fans as they all got to remember the tragedy.

Nipsey Hussle was shot and killed last year right in front of the clothing store he owned in LA. The brilliant hip-hop artist was friends with many NBA players, and he was a fan favorite in Los Angeles. People loved Nipsey Hussle, and his death shocked the entire nation.

King James and many others paid tribute to Nipsey, delivering a big message for his birthday.

The three-time NBA champion talked about the death of Nipsey. According to him, it was one of the biggest tragedies in the US history.

“It’s another tragedy in the inner city, urban community, and it’s just unfortunate,” LeBron said in a CBS 2 Los Angeles interview about the death of Nipsey.

“It’s so unfortunate when you look at a guy who believed in what he believed in, talked about how he wanted to give back to his own community, actually gave back to his community, and actually stayed in his community.”

Before the resumption of the 2019-20 season, King James honored the hip-hop artist with a custom-made Compton basketball jersey with “Crenshaw” written all over the front part.

Nipsey Hussle is no longer among us, but his legacy will keep living. He had a huge impact on the community and people will remember him for his great personality.  Nipsey was an influential recording artist and activist who raised questions about gun violence.
