Miami Heat Teammate Reveals Real Reason Behind Squabble with LeBron James

When the Los Angeles Lakers announced Rajon Rondo’s injury, a former player expressed an interest to play in place of him. That was Mario Chalmers, LeBron James’ former Miami Heat teammate.

The duo has had a brotherly relationship as teammates. In one game against the Pacers, though, things got a bit ‘heated.’ During a timeout, Chalmers said something that triggered LeBron, who then yelled at him. Now, after seven years, Chalmers has revealed what actually happened.

LeBron’s Former Miami Heat Teammate Reveals James Has A Trigger Word

“I felt like he was complaining too much about what was going on,” Chalmers said. “I was like ‘you’re the star player of the team, stop acting like a bitch, and start playing basketball. Anybody that knows Bron knows the word ‘b*tch’, he doesn’t like it. If you wanna get in LeBron’s head, use the word ‘b*tch’ and that’s what happened.”

Later, LeBron acknowledged that it was his fault.

“He understood what I was saying, this ain’t just about me, stop trying to blame everything on me. It’s about everybody. He understood what I was saying, he knew where he was wrong. At the end of the day, it was nothing really, but that’s the conversation… and I got benched for that game after that.”

LeBron later publicly apologized to Chalmers. His former Miami Heat teammate replied and reminded him they’re brothers and nothing could affect that relationship.

As a Laker, LeBron has been like an older brother to the new arrival, Anthony Davis. The duo has bonded really well and their chemistry has translated into success on-court for the Lakers.
