N’Keal Harry Explains Why He’s More Physically and Mentally Prepared For 2020 Season

N’Keal Harry thinks he is more ready than ever for the 2020 season. This is a good thing to see as the New England Patriots move into the fresh season this year. They are having to stay busy during the off season as there are many positions they are trying to replace and build.

One player who is having a great off season is N’Keal Harry, who was a bit of a disappointment last season, is apparently more than ready to get started this year.

Harry explained why he thinks he is more ready than ever.

“There’s a lot of things about this offense that would be hard to pick up at first, a lot of little details that a lot of guys don’t have to pay attention to in college,” Harry said Tuesday. “This second year has helped me a lot. The offseason, just getting to study some things and knowing the offense a lot more. So I came back, felt very comfortable with it, and it helped me a lot being a second-year guy.”

It sounds like the changes he has made are not only the ones in his head. He has also changed some things physically as well. People noticed how slim he was when he got to training camp. This could help him get out of press coverage. This was one thing he struggled with last season. Apparently he made the decision to eat better and exercise more over the off season.

“I just felt like I was a little bit big,” he said. “I just felt like slimming down a little bit and being a little more thin would help me getting off the top of my routes, getting in and out of my breaks and my releases.”

This is not the only thing he has worked on regarding his agility. He worked with someone known as the “Footwork King” for much of the off season. This could also come into play when it comes to getting off the line of scrimmage.

“He’s very good at what he does,” Harry said. “He helps guys get lighter on their feet. That’s something that helped me out. I noticed right away.”
