Patriots Announce No Fans At Gillette Stadium

The New England Patriots have an excellent home-field advantage. Other NFL teams don’t have the same benefits. However, the coronavirus pandemic is changing the rules, and teams have taken a different approach. COVID-19 killed too many people, and NFL teams will do their best to protect players, coaches, staffers, and fans. When it comes to fans, the Patriots won’t have any fans at Gillette Stadium in September.

New England has decided to begin the season without any fans. The team announced that no fans will attend games in September. It will be an odd situation, but the team is ready for it.

The organization released an official statement. Fans may not like it, but this is the only way to go.

“Following consultation with the Massachusetts Reopening Advisory Board, Gillette Stadium officials learned today that we will not be permitted to host fans at any events through at least the end of September. As a result, the Patriots home opener on September 13 and the game on September 27, as well as the next three Revolution home matches on August 20, 29, and September 2, will be played without fans in attendance. We will communicate directly with our respective ticket holders regarding refunds.”

The Patriots will play without fans at Gillette Stadium

In June, the Patriots released their plans for season ticket holders. The organization confirmed that season ticket holders will be able to postpone their tickets to the next season.

Several NFL teams have shared what their stadiums will look like in the upcoming season. Some teams won’t have fans in the stands and others approved attendance in a limited capacity. The Kansas City Chiefs will conduct games at 22 percent capacity to begin the upcoming season.

New England iterated that the team may have fans present during games later in the season. However, fans won’t be able to attend home games on September 13 and September 27.

The Patriots will start off their regular season on September 13 and they are playing against the Miami Dolphins. This is the beginning of a tough season, and the Patriots are getting ready for the big game.
