Recap: Lakers Shooting, Bench Improves In Loss To Indiana Pacers

Quinn Cook, Dwight Howard, and other players on the Lakers bench were spectacular in the game against the Indiana Pacers. However, the Lakers suffered a loss to the Pacers, and it was a tight 116-111 failure. Indiana had a good start of the game and enjoyed an early 10-4 lead. LA fought back and connected a few awesome defensive possessions. Players smashed the offense and had a 9-0 run.

TJ Warren was great from the field. He had great shots in the restricted area and from beyond the arc. That’s how Indiana got its double-digit lead. Frank Vogel’s players pulled out a mini run at the end of the quarter, but went into the second down 34-24.

LeBron put the team back on track with his easy layups. Indiana began to cool down from the field and the Lakers defense got tougher. Anthony Davis and Dwight Howard patrolled the paint and allowed their players to get out on the break.

The Lakers used the loss to the Pacers to improve

Cook was brilliant and he helped the team take the lead after hitting two threes, sealing a 22-5 run. LA turned the Pacers over down the stretch and went into the locker room up 59-54.

In the third quarter, the Lakers missed a few open shots and the Pacers regained their dominance. Davis couldn’t get his shot from the perimeter. Victor Oladipo hit a good three and gave the Pacers a nice lead.

LeBron left the floor and Indiana took advantage of that. The Lakers tried to keep the pace but they entered the fourth down 87-81.

Howard gave fans hope and battled on the glass to tie up the game. His offensive rebound for a dunk impressed the league’s greatest name. Malcolm Brogdon hit a corner three and made the line to give his team the control over the game.

The bench was still making plays on both ends and LeBron tried to force a timeout. Indiana benefited from a non-call when Warren scored a key basket with less than 60 seconds left of the game. Cook had a chance to save the game, but Warren was here to destroy his plans.
