Report: LeBron James, Lakers Instrumental In Vote For Playoffs

The NBA rescheduled three games following the boycotts in Orlando. The Milwaukee Bucks decided to boycott their Game 5 and LA players did the same thing. They will probably get a chance to finish their games over the weekend. Teams have had meetings inside the bubble. From what we know, LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers play an important role in the return of the playoffs.

The Lakers and Clippers approve the idea of boycotting the rest of the season. LeBron and Kawhi Leonard are a driving force in their teams.

The four-time NBA MVP had subsequent team meetings and his team reversed course. It looks like players are ready to do their best to finish the season. Tania Ganguli of the LA Times and Chris Hayness of Yahoo Sports confirmed the information.

King James left Wednesday’s meeting and his teammates did the same. He wants to finish the season and other players are on board with finishing the playoffs. Teams didn’t play their games on Thursday, but they will probably do that over the weekend.

LeBron and the Lakers want to deliver a message in the playoffs

A couple of days before the boycott, King James talked about the current situation in the country and social injustice.

“In reaction to what happened, what I can say is if you’re sitting here telling me there was no way to subdue that gentleman or detain him before the firing of guns, then you’re sitting here and lying to not only me but every African-American, every Black person in the community,” LeBron said.

We see it over and over and over. If you watch the video, there were multiple moments where if they wanted to they could’ve tackled him. They could’ve grabbed him. They could’ve done that. Why does it always have to get to a point where we see the guns firing? His family is there, kids are there, it’s in broad daylight.

If that video is not being taken by that person across the street, do we even know if we see that video? There’s talks about the cops didn’t have their body cams on; that’s a possibility. Quite frankly it’s just [expletive] up in our community.
