Rob Pelinka Reveals LeBron James’ Focus & Mindset Ahead Of Playoffs

Los Angeles Lakers general manager and vice president of basketball operations Rob Pelinka discussed LeBron James’ mindset for the upcoming season. The Lakers will make the playoffs for the first time in a decade and the team has a real chance to win the championship.

Pelinka went on Spectrum SportsNet and talked about the king’s focus.

“You spend time around the great greats, not just the greats but some of the greatest to ever play, and when it gets close to playoff time, those guys get so locked in,” Pelinka said. “It’s just another level of the mental approach, the physical approach, the mindset. And you can see it in LeBron. He’s locked in to a mission. He’s got one thing in sight. He wants to bring a title home to the Lakers and he’s going to do everything within his power to do it.”

LeBron has the right mindset

The three-time NBA champion has made the finals on nine different occasions. LeBron has three titles under his belt, and he is about to add another win to his portfolio.

LeBron won the Finals MVP award in each of these wins. This only confirms his great effort. LeBron plays an important role in each team and he carries his team on his back. Every time his teams make the playoffs, LeBron turns on his beast mood.

Pelinka saw many qualities in LeBron and he knows that the king will be of great help for the team. The Lakers GM noticed the same qualities in his former client and dear friend Kobe Bryant. The Black Mamba had an incredible career with the Lakers. Thanks to his great talent, the team won five NBA titles and made seven Finals appearances.

The Lakers will enter the deep postseason as the top seed in the West. They are making their ways to the big game, and they won’t go home without a ring. It will be a battle of the greats, and LeBron will face a lot of strong opponents. He is in his 17th season, and plays his best basketball.
