Anthony Davis will need to do more of his alley-oop thing with LeBron to win

Davis and LeBron know how important the big man is to the Lakers success in the playoff run. The Lakers clinched the No.1 seed in the West earlier this month but lost Game 1 to the Portland Trail Blazers. Portland is a familiar foe to Davis. He played with the New Orleans Pelicans in the game against Portland in 2018. The former Pelicans superstar was averaging 33 points and almost 12 rebounds per game in that series.

Davis believes that his experience against Jusuf Nurkic will be of great help. However, he also knows that Portland is a new team. Playoff Blazers are a big thing in Orlando, and Davis knows it.

“I think my experience helps,” Davis said of facing the Trail Blazers in the first round, “but they’re a totally different team.”

Davis is well aware of the challenge and his task in the playoffs. “It’s more about me being more aggressive now in the playoffs to complete our goal,” he added.

LeBron is pretty confident about Davis. According to him, there shouldn’t be any pressure. Davis is a talented player and he has excellent skills. The Lakers like his game and his style is the right fit for the team. Davis is a dominant player and LeBron knows that. He will need that dominance on the floor.

Davis is unique player. He played point guard as a young player. In other words, he knows a lot about ball handling and calling plays on the fly. As a high school sophomore, Davis was a 6-foot-2 guard. A year and half later, Davis was the No.1 prospect in the US.
