Watch: Anthony Davis With A Gorgeous Block on Damian Lillard

The Los Angeles Lakers play the Portland Trail Blazers in the first round of the playoffs and things are getting really hot. LA was 2-1 in the regular season against Portland. However, this was before the bubble. Things didn’t go smooth in Orlando. The Lakers had some offensive struggles. Well, they ended up clinching the top seed in the West and have evened the series at 1-1. Damian Lillard joined the Blazers and he is tough. But, Lakers big man Anthony Davis had a beautiful block on Lillard and it was crazy.

In a recent press conference with media members, Davis talked about the underdog status. “When you’re underdog, you get wins and winning games you’re not supposed to, you necessarily don’t have a target on your back. When you’re favorite, the pressure is more on you.”

Anthony Davis needs another block on Lillard

Davis also accepted the fact that Portland has changed a lot since the last game they had. Jusuf Nurkic and Zach Collins fit well in the team. Collins is a talented player but the Blazers won’t have him on the field in the near future.

The Lakers big man has nothing but words of praise for Lillard and his skills on the court. “He’s balling right now. He’s hot. Lillard is doing whatever he’s doing, whatever he can do to make his team win… Playing a ton of minutes.”

That’s not something you underestimate. Lillard is a dangerous opponent. The Blazers have a lot of talented players to make the plays well, and they are definitely a tough opponent. Davis may like Lillard but this block says a different story.

Davis is a tough guy and he came here to win. He has yet to win a ring and this may be his biggest motivation. The Lakers signed him to give LeBron an extra pair of hands. For now, Davis leads the Lakers in points and he is a nice fit for the team. Doubters may not agree but he and LeBron make the best duo in the NBA. It’s time for a big win in Orlando!
