Anthony Davis Reacts to Only Grabbing 2 Rebounds in Game 3 Loss to Nuggets

Anthony Davis only had 2 rebounds in the Los Angeles Lakers Game 3 loss to the Denver Nuggets. It was a pretty disappointing night for the Lakers. All was going well for them until Tuesday night, when it seemed like they were unable to do much of anything right. LeBron James and Anothony Davis have been huge for the Lakers in the Playoffs so far. Sadly, they were not enough to win the 3 games in a row.

Anthony Davis hard a particularly hard time last night. He had only 2 rebounds which is simply not enough if they are expected to win. He reacted to his own stat line after the game. It was clear that he was not very happy about his performance.

“Have to do a better job on the glass personally. And I can’t have two rebounds for an entire game,” Davis said after the game. “I mean, there’s not really much I can say. I just have to do better.”

Maybe part of the problem they had was due to everything going on right now. The BLM and social injustice is running hot and LeBron had a few things to say about it.

“I’ve never in my 35 years ever condoned violence,” James said in a videoconference. “Never have. But I also know what’s right is right and what’s wrong is wrong, and I grew up in the inner city in a Black community in what we call the hood or the ghetto, however you want to picture it. I’ve seen a lot of counts first hand of a lot of Black people being racially profiled because of our color. And I’ve seen it throughout my whole life. And I’m not saying that all cops are bad because, I actually throughout high school and things of that nature, I’m around them all the time and they’re not all bad.”

“But when you see the videos that’s going on and you can see all over the — not only my hometown, but all over America — you continue to see the acts of violence towards my kind, I can’t do nothing but to speak about it and see the common denominator. But not one time have I ever said, ‘Let’s act violent towards cops.’ I just said that what’s going on in our community is not okay and we fear for that and we fear for our lives.”
