Bill Belichick Delivers Strong Message About Raiders TE Darren Waller

Bill Belichick has come out with a very strong message about Darren Waller recently. The New England Patriots have looked pretty so far this year. The 2020 season was very much supposed to be a bounce back season for much of the team. After a disappointing 2019 year, however, Patriot fans were expecting more. And so far, it seems like they have gotten lots of improvement.

A lot of this improvement comes from the signing of Cam Newton, who has been great in the first 2 weeks of the season. Newton was signed to a 1 year deal this off season as a way for the Patriots try to replace legendary quarterback Tom Brady.

Head coach and general manager Bill Belichick has talked about what Newton brings to the field previously.

“He’s come in and do everything we’ve asked him to do,” Belichick told reporters back in August. “He works had. He’s obviously a very talented player and looking forward to continue to work with him. We’ll just take it day-by-day, but he’s given us everything he’s had and we’ve tried to put the team in the best position we can competitively. We’ll see how that all comes out. I’m sure a lot of things will change as the season goes along. We are where we are for right now and just keep trying to get better every day.”

Now, Belichick has come out with some great words for Darren Waller of the Las Vegas Raiders.

“I’m really impressed with everything he does,” Belichick said recently. “He’s very competitive, got great size, got great quickness for his size, catches the ball very well. He can run all the routes. Really is a versatile player, talented. He’ll definitely be a problem for us. There’s not one thing you can take away from him. He does a lot of things well.”

“His system is basically the same, but Jon does a great job of adapting to his personnel and utilizing the weapons that he has,” Belichick said. “He does as good a job as anybody. He’ll put his guys in position and utilize them like he always does. He’s a very creative coach.”
