Cam Newton Has A 3-Word Nickname For Bill Belichick

Cam Newton has a new nickname for Bill Belichick. He has been great for the New England Patriots so far this year. It has been very refreshing to see this offense going into this 2020 season. It has been quite a bit different from years past. Since legendary quarterback Tom Brady decided to leave, it was obvious that the Patriots were going to have to make some big changes. And changes they made.

Newton has been pretty good this year. He has been making plays with his legs and his throwing ability. He is the former NFL MVP after all. It also looks like he is getting along nicely with his teammates. Head coach Bill Belichick has had only good things to say about Newton prebiously.

“He’s come in and do everything we’ve asked him to do,” Belichick said. “He works had. He’s obviously a very talented player and looking forward to continue to work with him. We’ll just take it day-by-day, but he’s given us everything he’s had and we’ve tried to put the team in the best position we can competitively. We’ll see how that all comes out. I’m sure a lot of things will change as the season goes along. We are where we are for right now and just keep trying to get better every day.”

He is now working on a different thing altogether. Newton is now trying to get all of his teammates specific nicknames. He talked about this after the game.

Newton said in his postgame video conference: “You’ve just got to keep it fun. I just appreciate the guys for just rolling with it, man. One thing I did, kind of from walking in Day 1 — there’s an aura that you get when you play as a member of the New England Patriots, and that aura can sometimes be like ‘grrr,’ you know what I’m saying? The Patriot Way, to a degree, from the outside looking in. But from the inside looking out, these guys really enjoy the process, as well as myself. And me being a member, I’m just lucky to be here.”
