Cam Newton Passed a Legend in the Record Books vs Raiders

Cam Newton was great vs the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday afternoon. The Patriots have been trying to get back on track after a season in 2019 that was pretty disappointing. It was obviously that the team needed a change going forward. But would they be able to come back from it? Well, from what we have seen so far, yes,

The Patriots whooped up on the Raiders on Sunday in a big way. The offense and defense both played well which was big when they needed it . This is the kind of play that the fans in New England were expecting when the signed Cam Newton. Even head coach Bill Belichick knew what he was getting.

“He’s come in and do everything we’ve asked him to do,” Belichick “He works had. He’s obviously a very talented player and looking forward to continue to work with him. We’ll just take it day-by-day, but he’s given us everything he’s had and we’ve tried to put the team in the best position we can competitively. We’ll see how that all comes out. I’m sure a lot of things will change as the season goes along. We are where we are for right now and just keep trying to get better every day.”

Cam Newton Passed a Legend in the Record Books vs Raiders

The Patriots had a 36-20 win over the Las Vegas Raiders and Newton reached yet milestone. He had 27 yards rushing and he passed NFL legend Randall Cunningham for second all-time on the rushing list for QBs in the NFL.

The Patriots were great on Sunday against a depleted Raiders team. Newton talked about the win recently.

“You’ve just got to keep it fun. I just appreciate the guys for just rolling with it, man. One thing I did, kind of from walking in Day 1 — there’s an aura that you get when you play as a member of the New England Patriots, and that aura can sometimes be like ‘grrr,’ you know what I’m saying? The Patriot Way, to a degree, from the outside looking in. But from the inside looking out, these guys really enjoy the process, as well as myself. And me being a member, I’m just lucky to be here.”
