Cam Newton Reveals Message He Wanted To Send With His Yellow Pregame Suit

Cam Newton once again caught some eyes with his pregame suit. All eyes were on Newton in his first game in a New England Patriot’s uniform. And those eyes were very happy to see him play pretty well versus the Miami Dolphins Sunday afternoon. He obviously has room for growth and that will come with time within the Bill Belichick offense. But be was far from average.

Newton ran for 2 scores in the 21-11 beating of the Dolphins. It was a good game to get a feel for what it was like during a real game. Luckily, it went over quite well for the former NFL MVP. He was able to make the throws that were needed as well as use his legs as a weapon. The Dolphins struggled with stopping him in the ground.

But some of the talk was surrounding his pregame attire, which was a bright yellow suit. Cam Newton is well known for his interesting clothing choices in previous seasons. It is no surprise to see him continuing to do the same during this season.

He talked about the message that he wanted to give to fans before the game. Newton has always been very out there when it comes to his clothes. What do you think about what he had to say?

“We came up with yellow because we felt as if it’s in some ways ‘Resurrection Sunday.’ … Another kind of notion to the outfit, we wanted it to kind of be like caution tape – yellow and black. Get people prepared and aware ‘Boogie’ is back.”

Take a look at the outfit he wore before game 1 versus the Dolphins:

He also made it clear that he was back by passing for 155 yards on 15 out of 19 passes which is pretty efficient. He was also great on the ground, running for 2 touchdowns in the season opener.
