Dion Waiters Posts Heartwarming Video of Reuniting With Son

The Los Angeles Lakers have won so many games inside the Orlando bubble all while being away from their families. Players haven’t seen their loved ones in three months, and it’s really hard for them to achieve all these things without a close family member at the sidelines. Well, things have turned a lot better and players have had their families over. Dion Waiters reunited with his son and the whole thing was caught on camera.

Dion Waiters is happy to have his son around

It was really emotional! The boy glued to his dad and didn’t want to let go.

The NBA has allowed family members inside the bubble following the regular season. Of course, there are some quarantine restrictions these people have to go through. Waiters hasn’t seen his son in three months and the kid was more than happy to see his dad. The Lakers star shared a video of his reaction. Waiters needs to get healthy so his son can see him play.

Unlike Waiters, LeBron James didn’t invite Bronny, Bryce Maximus and Zhuri to the bubble. He thought his kids would be better off at home.

“There’s nothing for them to do. I mean, I’ve got a 16-year-old. I mean, he’s going to sit in the bubble and do what? I’ve got a 13-year-old. He’s going to do what? Five-year-old girl, there’s nothing for her to do. The park isn’t open. I mean, there’s only so many times she can go to the pool. My kids are too adventurous, and they love to do so much stuff. It makes no sense for them to be here. There’s nothing for them to do here. Go outside. Come back in. Go outside. Come back in. They can stay in L.A., and they’re great. There’s literally nothing for them to do here. This is not a kid-friendly place. Let’s be honest.”

LeBron probably made a good point here. NBA players don’t have much to do in Orlando. They work out and play games. What would kids do?

When it comes to Waiters and his role with the team, he has yet to make a bigger impact. The Laker sustained a knee injury and had to spend some time out. Lakers players will confront the Denver Nuggets on Friday, and Frank Vogel will soon make a decision on Waiters’ status.

Rajon Rondo is in the lineup again, and Waiters doesn’t have a role at the moment. He is an excellent shot creator off the bench, but his shots have reduced. Maybe Vogel will give him little playing time.
