Former NBA Champion Has Advice For LeBron James During 2020 Playoffs

LeBron James has been a man on a mission in 2020 so far. He has led his team to the second round of the NBA Playoffs in his second year with the Los Angeles Lakers. Obviously, we know that LeBron is one of the best to ever do it. Any team that has been on has had a chance to make it to the Finals in any given year. And with the COVID 19 situation this year, it has been even more impressive.

The Lakers are currently facing the Houston Rockets in the second round of the Playoffs. They are tied 1-1 currently and will be looking to take the series lead tonight. The Houston Rockets are killer from the 3 point line and have shown that they are a formidable team. The Lakers will have to keep their feet on the pedals in order to win.

But according to one expert, that might not be the case. According to Paul Pierce, everything depends on LeBron James. This means that the numbers that anyone else, even including Anthony Davis, does not matter.

Former NBA Champion Has Advice For LeBron James During 2020 Playoffs

“When LeBron is assertive at the beginning of the game, he sets the tone for his team. We have seen that in every playoff series. They lose game one because LeBron is passive, he comes out in game two and he’s aggressive. He had 18 points in the first half and he sets the tone for his team. I don’t think it matters what Anthony Davis does in a game. He can have thirty every night, but it’s all about LeBron being aggressive. When (LeBron) has scored 30 points, the Lakers are 32-1.”

The Lakers definitely need everyone to play well, including LeBron. LeBron is obviously the captain of the team so his success means team success. But I would venture to say that AD’s numbers to indeed matter when it comes to their victories.

As we have seen, the Lakers have lost 2 game 1’s already during the playoffs. In both of these games, AD failed to do much of anything offensively. This can’t be a coincidence.

Regardless, LeBron obviously needs to play well. We will have to wait and see if this is true.
