Julian Edelman Was Asked To Compare Tom Brady & Cam Newton

The New England Patriots have Cam Newton instead of Tom Brady. 2020 will be an interesting season for the Patriots. TB12 signed a deal with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and he won’t put on the Patriots uniform ever again. What does veteran wideout Julian Edelman say about this? He has been catching passes from Brady for a decade. Now he is working with the former Carolina Panthers quarterback.

The Patriots offered Newton a team-friendly contract this offseason. In the last few weeks, Patriots head coach Bill Belichick has praised Newton’s talent and his incredible work ethic.

Newton has an excellent performance in training camp, so media members asked Edelman to compare Newton and TB12. Well, the wideout missed the bait and made a good point. He doesn’t like talking about players of other teams.

“I’m not here to talk about players on other teams … I enjoy Cam. We’re going to leave it at that,” Edelman said.

Will Cam Newton manage to replace Tom Brady?

Head coach Bill Belichick has trained his players really well. He doesn’t want them to make comments on players from other teams.

Edelman loves his new teammates and he definitely admires his great work. Newton is a talented player and his running game will change the Patriots offense in a really good way.

“He just has a good energy about him,” Edelman said of Newton. “He’s very energetic and has a lot of energy to him. He makes it fun. He’s always in a pretty good mood from the time that he’s been here. I can’t speak on any other place or this that. But from what I have seen and what I have learned, he seems like a guy who loves football, has an energy about him and enjoys it. He enjoys football.”

Patriots fans are really excited about the new season. The roster is packed with talented players and Belichick has all the material he needs to win a championship. How will the Patriots finish the first Brady-less season? Belichick and his players are confident about 2020.
