Lakers Presenting Case to NBA About LeBron James’ Lack of Free Throws

LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers are going to the NBA about LeBron’s lack of free throws. The Lakers are currently in a battle with the Denver Nuggets. Thus far, the Nuggets have put up a pretty good fight against one of best teams in the NBA. But, if both teams are playing at their best, it should be an easy victory for the Lakers.

We have come to realize that this is not always the case for the Lakers. They do seem to struggle from time to time. This has been especially true early on in series. It might have something to go with everything that has been going on recently in the world. With BLM and the social injustice as well as COVID, it is crazy enough to see the NBA at all.

One of the things that is making it even harder is the fact that LeBron is not going to the free throw line enough. And according to recent reports, the Lakers have finally had enough. They have gone to the league about LeBron’s lack of free throws.

Lakers Presenting Case to NBA About LeBron James’ Lack of Free Throws

“The Lakers have presented a case to the NBA that their star, LeBron James, is not nearly getting his fair share of free throws even though they are positive the hard-charging forward is getting fouled plenty by the Denver Nuggets in their Western Conference finals playoff series,” said Broderick Turner of the Los Angeles Times.

“James shot just two free throws during the Game 3 defeat to the Nuggets on Tuesday night at AdventHealth Arena. And those two free throws came after Denver guard Jamal Murray was called for a flagrant foul for an elbow to James’ jaw.”

It is clear that LeBron is not getting the calls that he is used to getting. And this is having an impact on the Lakers play as a team.

“’We’re dealing with the fouls through the proper channels with the league,’ coach Frank Vogel told the media during a video call on Wednesday after practice. ‘I think he’s gone to the basket very aggressively, and I’ll just leave it at that.’”
