LeBron James Admits He Had One Major Regret About Anthony Davis’ Game-Winner

Los Angeles Lakers big man Anthony Davis sealed Game 2 against the Denver Nuggets with a win, and LeBron James has one major regret. Davis helped the Lakers win the game in the final second of the match and it was crazy. It was probably the wildest shot of the postseason, and it was definitely too much to handle for the Lakers fanbase.

But, LeBron would have wanted to see this shot at Staples Center.

“I wish we were playing at Staples,” he said following the win over Denver. “We miss our fans so much… It probably would have blown the roof off Staples.”

LeBron James to turn the regret into a motivation

Davis came to the rescue after his team destroyed a double-digit lead in the fourth quarter. His three-pointer gave the team a 105-103 win. LA has a 2-0 lead in the Western Conference Finals.

The shot happened after Rajon Rondo fired a hot inbounds pass to Davis.

LeBron James usually hits the final shot, but now it was Davis who saved the day. This play was set up for the four-time champion. LeBron finished the night with 26 points and 11 rebounds. The initial plan changed when Davis escaped Nuggets’ Mason Plumlee to take the final three-pointer of the game.

The king didn’t get the honor to finish the game, but he can’t really complain about the final result.

Davis finished the game with 31-points, nine rebounds, two assists and two blocks. This is the second straight game in which he scored at least 30 points.

Teams will have their Game 3 on Wednesday and the Nuggets will definitely try to repair the damage and possibily avoid a 3-0 lead.

The Los Angeles Lakers have won six straight games since losing a match to James Harden and the Houston Rockets in Game 1 of the conference semifinals.

Let’s see how will Davis and LeBron finish the upcoming game. Nikola Jokic is serious about winning and he will do his best to avoid another loss. Will the Lakers duo let him move freely across the floor?
