Magic Johnson Goes Wild After LeBron James And Lakers Advance to NBA Finals

The Lakers have finally made the NBA Finals for the first time in many years. The Los Angeles Lakers followed LeBron James to the Finals for much of the NBA Playoffs. After all of this, it seems like LeBron would have been looked closer at being at the NBA MVP. But that did not happen. In fact, he barely got any votes at all. He talked about how disappointed he was in this.

“P–sed me off. That’s my true answer. It p–sed me off, because out of 101 votes, I got 16 first-place votes. That’s what p–sed me off more than anything. You know, not saying that the winner wasn’t deserving of the MVP. But that p–sed me off. And I finished second a lot in my career, either from a championship, and now four times as an MVP.”

“I’m not going to sit up here and talk about what the criteria should be or what it is. It’s changed over the years since I’ve gotten into the league. Sometimes it’s the best player on the best team. It is sometimes it’s the guy with the best season statistically. Sometimes … I mean, you don’t know. You don’t know. But you know, Giannis had a hell of a season; I can definitely say that.”

But that does not matter now.

After the worst play in the history of their franchise, the Los Angeles Lakers got to the NBA Finals by getting rid of the Denver Nuggets in Game 5 of the Western Conference Finals.

Lakers legend Magic Johnson took no time at all to take to Twitter to congratulate them. He also made it clear that LeBron made a promise to Laker nation back when he came to LA.

But the Lakers are ready to go now regardless of any promises that were made. LeBron has kept his word so far. Can he keep it going? If the past has any indication, I would say yes. LeBron is great in the Playoffs. We can trust that he has what it takes to keep the success going.

What do you think?
