Patriots’ J.C. Jackson Has A Message For Raiders TE Darren Waller

The Patriots J.C. Jackson has a quick message for Darren Waller. The New England Patriots are going into Week 3 of the 2020 season with a 1-1 record. This is about as good as we could have expected given the changes that were made over the off season. But this weekend, the Patriots are going to have their hands very full. They are going to try to do something that the New Orleans Saints could not do which is stop Darren Waller.

It would not be fair to the stats to say that he had a good game against the New Orleans Saints. He was pretty dominant with his 12 receptions for 103 yards and a touchdown. It will be a very hard thing to stop him. But the Patriots are going to do their best.

The Patriots are obviously going to do everything they can to stop Waller. They do not want to let him run all up and down their defense like he did against the Saints. Based on J.C. Jackson’s recently words, however, it sounds like the Patriots are ready for him.

“He’s good man,” Jackson said when chatting to reporters about Waller. “We’ve got something for him this weekend.”

Devin McCourty also talked to the media about what he has seen from Waller so far this season. To say it will be a challenge is an understatement.

“He brings every challenge you can think of,” McCourty said. “It’s covering him, it’s tackling him, it’s knowing where he is in their offense, how they might use him. They use him so many different ways, you’re not going to get a true bead on it. He’s more like those guys compared to just a true tight end. … He brings every challenge you could think of.”

Hopefully the Patriots will be able to get back on the winning track this weekend. It would be huge to the confidence of the team to be able to pick this one up. It will be a battle, however. Cam Newton and the offense will also need to come to play. And if previous weeks are any indication, they will be ready.

What do you think about what they had to say?
