Patriots’ Stephon Gilmore Reacts to His Pay Increase

The New England Patriots rewarded cornerback Stephon Gilmore with a pay increase. This was the perfect response to the big deal cornerback Jalen Ramsey signed with the Los Angeles Rams. This increase gives the reigning Defensive Player of the Year security amid his current contract with the team.

Gilmore is more than impressed with the deal. But this is nothing in comparison to his readiness for the upcoming game against the Seattle Seahawks.

The Patriots are playing Seattle, and Gilmore is focused on his next game.

“It’s a great accomplishment but it’s behind me now. My focus is on Seattle now.”

Stephon Gilmore doesn’t pay attention to his pay increase

This reminds us of head coach Bill Belichick. Gilmore took the same pathway as his head coach. He looks more than ready for the challenge and it looks like he is used to the Patriots’ program. From what we can see, Gilmore acts just like Belichick. His responses didn’t really surprise us.

Gilmore deserved every dollar he received. The veteran received a $5 million pay raise from the team for the upcoming 2020 NFL season. the team recuded his salary for the 2021 campaign by $4.5 million. Gilmore is set to get another great deal in the near future, and analysts assume that Gilmore may try to negotiate a new possibility for the next season in order to get the money he deserves.

Is Bill Belichick ready to give Gilmore another raise? New England has been involved in so many rumors regarding Gilmore and his potential trade. The team has considered trading him on two occasions this offseason. Will the Patriots give Gilmore the contract he deserves for the offseason?

Belichick and the Patriots are getting ready for the season and they have already won the first game against the Miami Dolphins. Seattle is next on the list, and Pats players have no doubts regarding their defense and offense. New England plays the first season without quarterback Tom Brady and they look really well on the floor.

New England is packed with talent at this point, and Belichick has no doubts about his players.
