Rajon Rondo’s 13-word Message That Motivated Anthony Davis For Game-Winning Shot

Rondo had a message that motivated Anthony Davis. The Los Angeles Lakers have been very busy with the Denver Nuggets so far. The series has been pretty interesting to watch. But still, the Lakers are definitely the favored team here. They have the much more talented team and fans are definitely expected to win in this series. The Lakers have been using some motivation from different places. LeBron James has some from his anger at the MVP voters.

“Pissed me off. That’s my true answer,” he said when asked for his thoughts on his place in the race. “It pissed me off because out of 101 votes, I got 16 first-place votes. That’s what pissed me off more than anything. You know, not saying that the winner wasn’t deserving of the MVP. But that pissed me off. And I finished second a lot in my career, either from a championship, and now four times as an MVP.

“I never came into this league to be MVP or to be a champion. I’ve always just wanted to get better and better every single day, and those things will take care of itself. But some things is just out of my hand and some things you can’t control. But it pissed me off.”

Rajon Rondo’s 13-word Message That Motivated Anthony Davis For Game-Winning Shot

The Lakers are in good shape so far in the series. They are currently up 2-0 on the Nuggets who have looked pretty good so far. This means that if the Lakers can continue their high level play, the series should be all theirs. Unfortunately, this is much easier said than done.

Rajon Rondo, a Lakers point guard, was clear on how he felt about the Nuggets during the game. After Nikola Jokic scored on Anthony Davis towards the end of last nights game, Rondo had a message for Davis.

“That’s all right, he scored on you. Now you go get it back.”

Rondo has been struggling to stay healthy for a lot of the playoffs so far. But he is still a very experienced player with lots to teach other players. What do you think about what he had to say?
