Report: Julian Edelman Experiencing Something New in 12th Season With Patriots

Julian Edelman has seen something different in his 12th season with the New England Patriots. The Patriots are working on a new and improved 2020 season. They have quite the let down of a season after 2019. They failed to get to the playoffs and did not do much of anything at all. But they are definitely working on getting back on track.

Now that the 2020 season is here, many players are working out how they are going to finish out the year. One of those players is Julian Edelman. He is obviously of of the veterans on the team. From the sounds of it, he has been doing everything he can to help his teammates out.

With Tom Brady leaving for Tampa Bay, Edelman must feel a bit left out. He recently talked about what it is like to have a new quarterback at the helm.

Even if he has been in the league for awhile now, it still is not normal what he is going through.

“I’ve been playing here — this is my 12th year. This is the first time I’ve really done this,” Edelman said.

He would not go into much detail.

“We don’t talk about health here,” Edelman said. “I don’t even know if I can. So, I don’t want to, you know — we don’t talk about that.”

“Honestly, this has been a grind,” Edelman said. “We’ve been having six days of practices — or, usually you’d have 4 days off, or 4 days on, a day off, you break up when you start playing other teams in the preseason. This has been a straight grind the whole time. The teams that take advantage of it, and really use it to the best of their abilities, are going to be the teams that do well with it.”

Edelman is going to be a big part of whatever the Patriots do this season. He is one of the veterans and has a long track history. He is going to have to coach the young guys up if he wants to prove himself as a veteran this year.
