Report: Patriots Linked to ‘Very Affordable’, But Disgruntled Bears Wide Receiver

The Patriots have their eyes on a new wide receiver. The New England Patriots have officially played their first game of the season. Even though it seemed like they were done after the 2019 season, they bounced back. Now that Tom Brady has left for Tampa Bay, a lot of people thought that the team was going to have to start over completely fresh. However, head coach Bill Belichick had some other ideas in mind. He gobbled up a former NFL MVP to replace his legendary quarterback.

Despite the calls for a total explosion of a rebuild, Belichick new what he had in Cam Newton. Cam Newton showed that he still had what it took. He rushed for 2 touchdowns behind some amazing offensive line blocks. This did not come as a surprise for Belichick, who talked about what he saw from Newton before the season.

“Being with him every day, he’s an extremely hard-working player,” Belichick continued. “First guy in, last one out type of guy. He really has studied hard and he has spent a lot of extra time trying to learn our offense and our communication and our calls, and nomenclature and so forth. Yeah, I’ve been very impressed with that. He’s done a good job of picking it up. He’s a very skilled athlete and we’re just working through it day-by-day.”

Report: Patriots Linked to ‘Very Affordable’, But Disgruntled Bears Wide Receiver

The Patriots are not done signing people yet, though. Now the are looking at a disgruntled wide receiver from the Chicago Bears.

The Chicago Bears’ Allen Robinson is apparently not very happy in Chicago and has mentioned the Patriots as a possible landing spot.

Robinson was looking for an extension from the Bears from the beginning of the offseason and now into the week 1 of the 2020 season. The Bears organization has yet to come to an agreement, however. It seems like they would be given the obvious tools Robinson brings to the field.

Now it looks like he has become pretty obviously indifferent to the Bears.

Quite a few people have made a case for him to come to New England.

What do you think. Could it be a good match?
