Report: Rockets to Implement Huge Change Against Lakers in Round 2

The Houston Rockets are challenging LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers in Round 2 of the NBA playoffs. According to sources, Houston plans to expand the rotation in the second-round playoff series.

The Rockets had just eight players in the Game 7 win over the Oklahoma City Thunder on Wednesday. They played eight players but Austin Rivers got just seven minutes in the win.

The short rotation is one of the reasons Houston has to expand the rotation. Players may face some fatigue from seeing action in all seven games in the first-round game.

Rockets challenge the best Lakers duo in Round 2

The Rockets didn’t have a true center in Game 7. They will have to change this ahead of Game 1. The Los Angeles Lakers have Anthony Davis and JaVale McGee in the lineup, and Houston has to get ready for that. Dwight Howard is also in the mix. The Rockets have to play their best rotation against the Lakers. LA clinched the top seed in the West, and players are determined to win a title. Beating this motivation is a big bite to swallow.

Tyson Chandler is the only true center Houston has at the moment.

LA and Houston will start the series on Friday. It’s a big challenge for both teams. Houston tried really hard to beat OKC in the first round and move to Round 2. Beating LeBron and Davis won’t be easy. The Rockets had a good game in the regular season, but challenging playoff LeBron is not something players look forward to. LeBron changes his style during the playoffs. He is in his 17th season and his playoff experience is actually a warning for the Rockets.

LA needs to win and eliminate the Rockets to reach the next level. LeBron came to LA to win his fourth championship and Davis became a Laker for the same reason. These two have done an amazing job in the past season and they are off to a bigger challenge in the next couple of months.
