The Heartwarming Way Lakers’ Alex Caruso Is Spending His Down Time in Bubble

Alex Caruso is trying to stay in the bubble without too much trouble. The Los Angeles Lakers have officially made it to the Western Conference Finals for the first time in many years. They beat the Houston Rockets in Game 5 of Round 2 and are now moving on. Prior to moving on to the WCF, there were many people that thought the Houston Rockets could pull off an upset.

When the Rockets took the first game of the series, this speculation got even stronger. But since losing the first game, the Lakers won 4 games in a row. This has happened 2 times in a row. They also lost the first game versus the Portland Trail Blazers.

It is obvious who the two franchise players are. LeBron James and Anthony Davis have been huge in the playoffs so far and they will continue to need to be. But Alex Caruso and Rajon Rondo have also stepped up in a huge way since the playoffs started. Rondo’s emergence can be understood as he has a huge amount of playoff experience. The same cannot be said for Alex Caruso.

The Heartwarming Way Lakers’ Alex Caruso Is Spending His Down Time in Bubble

Caruso was asked about his life within the NBA bubble. Apparently, he spends a lot of time walking and riding his bike. Now, he has been spending some time drinking with his parents. He talked about this recently.

“As you get older, you get to realize what’s most important.”

He also talked about what he expects from him and his teammates before games as well.

“There was no pull aside or detailed description of what to expect from my teammates. I had played games to win in January and February, knew the level of detail that goes into big games against the Clippers, against the Bucks, and that kind of had a bit of a playoff feel. I think they just trusted me, how serious I take the game, and take the work of preparing.”

It has been very interesting to see the different perspectives of the NBA bubble. What do you think about what he had to say?
