The Los Angeles Lakers are crushing the Denver Nuggets in Game 2 of the Western Conference Finals. It’s a serious game, and Lakers players are definitely not joking. We are used to seeing superstar LeBron James pull out crazy dunks. This time it was one of his teammates. Talented Alex Caruso shocked Denver with his monster dunk and the Lakers bench went crazy.
Caruso is a fan favorite and his style is really impressive. Lakers head coach Frank Vogel has praised his development and great work. LeBron really likes him, and Caruso does his best to show everyone that he is an excellent scorer. This monster dunk is the best proof of that.
LeBron and Caruso have become one of the most effective pairings in the NBA. This includes both the regular season and playoffs. We could see more of that in Game 4 of the series against James Harden and the Houston Rockets. LeBron trusted his younger teammate to make a big shot at the end of the game to help the team avoid a collapse.
Alex Caruso to fuel his dunk game
It wasn’t always like this. In his interview with Ben Cohen of The Wall Street Journal, Caruso said he doesn’t think LeBron was aware of his style prior to joining the Los Angeles Lakers.
Cohen did a nice piece with an even more incredible headline. “Alex Caruso: The LeBron of Playing with LeBron” is a good read and you don’t want to miss it. Caruso deserves this title because of the success he has on the floor.
Their two-man net rating is better than LeBron has ever had with any other player. Caruso plays really well alongside the four-time NBA MVP. He knows how to take advantage of the holes and tears the king makes in NBA defenses.
The Lakers have a good chance to make the NBA Finals. They are three wins away from the finals and that sure means a thing. Denver is an easy opponent despite the fact that the Nuggets sent Kawhi Leonard home.
