Watch: Anthony Davis Seen Yelling ‘Kobe’ After Hitting Buzzer-Beater vs. Denver Nuggets

Anthony Davis was seen yelling Kobe after his buzzer-beater to beat the Nuggets. The Los Angeles Lakers are one of the most talented teams in the entire NBA. They are currently in a Western Conference Finals battle with the Denver Nuggets and most think that they will be able to pull out the victory. But it is much easier said than done. It is been a very long time since the Lakers were anywhere near the Finals. But this year could be different. It seems like finally, they are ready to make their presence known.

The Lakers were picked as one of the favorites to win the title this year. And that was thanks to LeBron James and Anthony Davis. Both have had huge parts in the Lakers success. It has been great to see them back on top of the NBA where they belong. But there is a long road ahead of them.

That is obvious based on the battle that happened against the Nuggets last night. The Lakers were able to pull out the victory after a last second winning shot by AD. He was also seen yelling a very familiar name before the shot went in.

Take a look at the winning play and what he was seen doing after the shot went in.

Kobe Bryant’s death was difficult for everyone. But none more so than Anthony Davis. He is what he said when he learned of Kobe’s passing.

“And Dwight tells me, ‘Man, Kobe died.’ And me thinking as invincible as Kobe Bryant is, I’m like, ‘Kobe who?’ Because I’m like, that’s not—it’s not Kobe Bryant.”

“And he was like, ‘Kobe.’ And I was like, ‘OK. Kobe who? I’m not sure who you’re talking about.’ And he was like, ‘Kobe Bryant.’ And at this time, Bron is still asleep. So I was like, ‘Wait, what? How? Like, I need details, like, tell me.’ And he was like, ‘Man, helicopter crash.”

“I want to get better,” Davis explained. “You can’t try to become a better player on and off the floor and be nervous to learn from other guys who’ve done it before you. So I’ve never been nervous to ask a question whether in film, on the court, something I don’t know I’ll ask and hear what people have got to say.”
