Watch: Rajon Rondo Lobs To Anthony Davis For A Monster Dunk

Rajon Rondo is a valuable player for the Los Angeles Lakers and his most recent connection with Anthony Davis for a monster dunk says it all.

The Lakers guard was working on his skillset Monday. Rondo was moving around the three-point line, shooting his fireballs. The veteran had a really good production in Game 2 of the Western Conference semifinals. His plus/minus rating was the highest on the Lakers at plus-28. Rondo finished the game with 10 points, nine assists, five steals and three rebounds.

“He was just extremely aggressive, not only offensively but defensively — taking the challenge on James [Harden], taking the challenge on whoever he was guarding,” Lakers superstar LeBron James said. “Just trying to lead. I mean, that’s what ‘Do is. He’s a leader. And for us to have him back in the postseason, it’s a key for our team.”

Rondo saw his first real action in Game 1 of the Lakers’ series against the Houston Rockets. His thumb fracture put his performance on hold and the veteran had to undergo a surgery. He feels great now, and from what we can see, Rondo is determined to have similar success in Game 3.

The thumb fracture shouldn’t be a concern despite the fac that Rondo has a history of hand injuries.

Lakers head coach Frank Vogel had words of praise for Rondo. According to him, the only thing Rondo has to do is find his rhythm. Vogel saw him playing. Rondo has been working really hard since his return to the bubble.

Lakers players believe that Rondo can settle the defense and elevate the offense. He has great playoff experience and that’s more than beneficial for the team. Rondo was instrumental in the sixth-seeded New Orleans Pelicans smashing the third-seeded Portland Trail Blazers in the 2018 playoffs.

LeBron liked Rondo’s production in Game 2. He liked how the veteran pushed the tempo and got players involved. Rondo is able to make plays for his teammates and he helped the team win the second game. Will he do the same in Game 3?
