Watch: Rex Burkhead Embarrass Defender On Touchdown Catch

The New England Patriots had a slow first half of the Week 3 game against the Las Vegas Raiders. Well, the first half sure ended on a high note, and this Sunday game turned out to be incredible. Rex Burkhead shocked Raiders defender with his touchdown catch, and it was brilliant.

Burkhead’s first touchdown of the 2020 NFL season extended the Pat’s lead over Las Vegas to 13-3 with less than a minute to go in the second quarter of the game.

The Patriots star caught a screen pass from veteran quarterback Cam Newton before getting by Raiders safety Jonathan Abrams with a clean cut and hitting over the goal line.

Rex Burkhead needs to add another touchdown

The 10-point lead didn’t last long though. Derek Carr had a brilliant connection with tight end Foster Moreau for a 1-yard touchdown right before the break to shorten the Pats’ advantage to 13-10.

How will the Patriots feel about the slim lead? Players sure did a good thinking about it in the locker room. Head coach Bill Belichick is probably unhappy about the final drive of the game. We believe this will be the main focus of the locker room convo.

The Patriots entered the 2020 NFL season with a brilliant win against the Miami Dolphins. Seattle had a better game in Week 2, and Patriots players returned with a 35-30 loss to the Seahawks.

Newton has had an impressive performance in each game of the season. New England did a really good job this summer. Adding the 2015 NFL MVP was a really bold move, and it sure pays off. Newton has an incredible connection with wideouts Julian Edelman and N’Keal Harry. He joined the team to win and did it for respect. Being a signal-caller under Belichick is an excellent thing and Newton feels great in his new uniform.

Patriots will play without David Andrews and Josh Uche in the next few weeks. Losing Andrews is an awful thing, and the Patriots will have to think of a solution.
