LeBron James helped the Los Angeles Lakers win Game 3 of the Western Conference semifinals, and he almost broke his thumb in the process. The 112-102 win over the Houston Rockets was brilliant. LA avoided a big disaster.

A video shows LeBron in action and he nearly fractured his thumb. The king got his hand stuck inside the rim as he was trying to block the ball.

A fractured thumb would destroy the Lakers’ chance to win the championship this season. LeBron has an aggressive approach and this was more than obvious in Tuesday’s game. His defensive effort would almost give him a broken thumb. LeBron was swatting shots left and right, and he finished the contest with four blocks. The king finished the game without an injury and this win brought him a step closer to the title.

LeBron James need to keep his winning thumb healthy

LeBron and Anthony Davis make an excellent duo. Pairing LeBron and Davis was the best decision LA could have ever made. King James finished the game with 36 points, seven rebounds and five assists. The four-time NBA MVP shot 13-of-23 from the field and hit four 3-pointers. Davis scored 26 points, 15 boards and six assists while going 9-of-13 from the floor.

Veteran Rajon Rondo had a huge outing too. Playoff Rondo was in full form during the game with 21 points on 8-of-11 shooting. He also had nine dimes and knocked down three 3-pointers. Kyle Kuzma finished the game with 14 points on 7-of-10 shooting.

King James added another accomplishment to his great portfolio. This win was LeBron’s 162nd playoff win. LeBron has the most playoff wins in NBA history.

The Lakers had great success and they are on their way to win the championship. LeBron and Davis need to stay healthy to finish the season with a win. This will be Davis’ first title. Players need to protect themselves and avoid injuries. A broken thumb can be a terrible thing in the middle of the playoffs. Luckily, LeBron is fine and he is ready for Game 4.
