3 Contract Possibilities Emerge as Anthony Davis Plans to Re-Sign With Lakers

There are 3 contract possibilities that are emerging as Anthony Davis plans to re-sign with the Los Angeles Lakers. This has been a crazy year. But as it turns out, it ended pretty well for the Lakers. The Lakers took on the Miami Heat in the NBA Finals this season and they were able to pull out the victory. In fact, they looked pretty impressive by most counts and should be a favorite to win the title next year as well.

Bu this year has not been all easy for the Lakers. In fact, 2020 has been tough for just about everyone. LeBron James recently talked about how hard it was to stay in the NBA bubble for such an extended period of time.

“I am here for one reason and one reason only, and that’s to compete for a championship,” James said. “That was my mindset once I entered the bubble, once I entered the quarantine process the first two days. And then right from my first practice my mindset was to, if I’m going to be here, make the most of it and see what you can do and lock in on what the main thing is. And the main thing was for us to finish the season and compete for a championship.”

“So that’s just been my mindset throughout these — I don’t even know how many days it is, whatever how many days it is, it feels like five years so it really doesn’t matter. I’ve been as locked in as I’ve ever been in my career.”

But there are some questions on AD and his contract. According to reports, he plans to opt out of his current contract.

By declining the player option of $28.7 million that Davis has now, he is setting himself up for many options this off season.

He might sign a two-year deal that has a player option for the second year, a three-year deal that includes a player option on the third year or a four-year deal with a player option for the fourth year.

These are all interesting options and it will be interesting to see what he chooses.
