3 Free Agents Los Angeles Lakers Must Target This Offseason

There are 3 bargain free agents the LA Lakers need to pick up this off season as target. This might seem a bit rushed since they just now are coming back from winning a title. But it is never too late to start looking. The Lakers looked very impressive this season with LeBron James at the helm. Him and Anthony Davis definitely have a great basketball relationship.

But it was not always easy. This year has been tough on everyone. The Lakers started the year learning of the death of Laker legend Kobe Bryant. Then came the postponement of the NBA season. It then restarted in a bubble format. This was tough for the team to deal with as they stayed so long. Take a look at what LeBron said.

“I am here for one reason and one reason only, and that’s to compete for a championship,” James said. “And that was my mindset once I entered the bubble, once I entered the quarantine process the first two days. And then right from my first practice my mindset was to, if I’m going to be here, make the most of it and see what you can do and lock in on what the main thing is. And the main thing was for us to finish the season and compete for a championship.

“So that’s just been my mindset throughout these — I don’t even know how many days it is, whatever how many days it is, it feels like five years so it really doesn’t matter. I’ve been as locked in as I’ve ever been in my career.”

But now people are looking towards the future. One of those things is free agents that they could bring to LA. Here are three that they could bring:

3. Kyle Korver

Kyle Korver is getting a bit old at the age of 39. However, that has not slowed him down very much. Korver is very well known for his shooting ability. This fits with what the Lakers are needing going into next season.

2. Wesley Matthews

Wesley Matthews not a garauntee to be a free agent this season. He does have a $2.6 million player option. However, he may look to decline that and secure a slightly better contract after a great season in Milwaukee.

1. Carmelo Anthony

Carmelo Anthony has been looking for a home the past few seasons with a few less than great years. Melo ultimately went to the Portland Trail Blazers and showed he still has what it takes. This should be enough for another opportunity.

What do you think of these options?
